Photos, text, audio and graphics from the Associated Press Archives. Includes photographs from 1826 to the present; graphics, maps, charts, graphs, logos; audio clips dating from the 1920s. AskART is an online database containing over 120,000 artists from early 16th-century through the present. Access information about artists biographies, auction records, financial graphics, magazine ads(pre-1998) and images. Over 6,000 museums and dealers are also referenced. Content Type: Image [AICAD]

Canadian Art Database

Consists of an ever-growing image/text database, including a directory of more than 320 links to other Canadian art web sites. There are currently 30,000 images of work by 435 artists available for viewing. More artists and images are added on a monthly basis. Historical Images Database

Vancouver Public Library, Special Collections. These images are from the VPL Historical Photographs Collection. The archival collection consists of more than 250,000 black and white negatives and prints covering all aspects of life in British Columbia and Yukon Territory from the 1860s onward. A growing number of historical photographs from the VPL Historical Photos collection are being added to this online database assessible through the VPL web site. Content Type: Image [Free]

Wosk Print Collection – Digital Images

This database contains images of rare, original prints by artists such as Albers, Baskin, Cezanne, Chagall, Dali, Goya, Kandinsky, Rembrandt, Renoir, Picasso and Warhol. The collection was generously donated to Emily Carr University by Dr. Yosef Wosk and was digitized to provide viewing access to all.
