The Teaching and Learning Centre administrates three popular online environments for faculty to publish and syndicate content through to their Moodle course, Blogs, or to their university Wiki course.
Vimeo – http://vimeo.com/emilycarr
Vimeo channels may be setup for faculty by the Teaching and Learning Centre to deliver their course video content. The TLC will host a small workshop with the faculty member to show them how to upload and syndicate content to their Moodle, Blog or Wiki site. Please send an email to the Teaching and Learning Centre with the subject “New Vimeo Channel”.
YouTube – http://www.youtube.com/emilycarruniversity
There is currently no TLC support to setup faculty with new Youtube channels. You can find out how to create your own YouTube channel at http://www.youtube.com/yt/about/getting-started.html
The TLC will however, host a small workshop with the faculty member to show them how to upload and syndicate content from their YouTube channel to their Moodle, Blog or Wiki site.
Emily Carr University on iTunesU
The Teaching and Learning Centre is currently working on the ability to upload and publish course content from iTunesU using both the iTunesU Course Manager and iBooks Author. The iTunes U Course Manager is a web-based tool that allows instructors to create and distribute courses on iTunes U. iBooks Author (iBA) is an e-book authoring application by Apple Inc. Documents created with iBooks Author may be exported as PDF files or be published to the Apple iBooks Bookstore or embedded into the iTunesU Course Manager.
