Getting Started with Moodle Workshop

Friday, January 10th, from 1:00pm to 3:00pm
Tuesday, January 14th, from 1:00pm to 3:00pm
Room:  Mac Lab 203B (North Building)

Faculty will be provided with an overview of the Moodle course managements system: its activities, resources and navigation.  The workshop will include presentations from University librarians on copyright guidelines, how to include study guides in Moodle and creating permalinks to online databases and journals. This will be an opportunity for attendees to bring in their course materials (preferably on a USB drive) and have direct assistance and tutorials for how to upload and organize their course materials for their Spring 2014 courses. Faculty must have a Moodle course to attend.


Advanced Moodle Workshop

Time: Friday, January 17th, from 1:00pm to 3:00pm
Room: Mac Lab 203B (North Building)

This workshop is for faculty who would like to use more of Moodle’s features. Topics include using the Communication and Collaboration tools, adding rich media content, using the Feedback activity for creating student surveys and mastering the Moodle Gradebook.


Using Blogs in Curriculum (Using WordPress software)

Time: Monday, January 13th, from 1:00pm to 3:00pm
Room: Mac Lab 203B (North Building)

Faculty can see how blogs are used to effectively support student engagement in both online and face-to-face classes. Faculty will be provided with an overview of the WordPress blogging platform’s features and navigation.  Faculty must have a Blog setup to attend.
