Moodle and Blog workshops for new and current faculty and staff for the Spring 2016 semester.
Getting Started with Moodle Workshop
FRIDAY, JANUARY 8TH, 10:00am – 11:30am
Location: Mac Lab 203B (North Building)
This workshop provides an overview of the Moodle course management system: how to create activities such as forums, assignments, add course resources, and navigate Moodle. This will be an opportunity for participants to bring in their course materials (preferably on a USB drive) and have direct assistance and tutorials for how to upload and organize their course materials for their Spring 2016 courses. Participants must have requested a Moodle course to attend. (Follow the instructions below.)
Advanced Moodle Workshop
FRIDAY, JANUARY 8TH, 1:00pm – 2:30pm
Room: Mac Lab 203B (North Building)
Participants will learn Moodle features such as creating online lesson activities, workshop activities for student peer review, creating student groups, creating quizzes, adding slideshows and videos and using the Moodle grade book. The workshop will include how to create permalinks to online databases and journals. Participants must have requested a Moodle course to attend.
Using Blogs for Courses and Research (Using WordPress software)
TUESDAY, JANUARY 12th, 1:00pm – 2:30pm Room: Mac Lab 203B (North Building)
Faculty and staff must have requested a Blog before attending these workshops to provide hands-on experience. Please send a blog request to firstname.lastname@example.org and include your course mnemonic and title or just the title for a research blog.
