Getting Started with Moodle

Times: Wednesday, September 3rd, 1:00pm to 3:00pm
Room: Mac Lab 203C (North Building)
Faculty and staff will be provided with an overview of the new Moodle 2.6.4 course management system: its activities, resources and navigation. Also featured will be an overview of the new Moodle course themes. This will be an opportunity for attendees to bring in their course materials (preferably on a USB drive) and have direct assistance for how to upload and organize their course materials for their Fall 2014 courses. Faculty must have a Moodle course previously setup to attend.

Wordpress

Using Blogs in Curriculum Delivery (WordPress software)
Time: Thursday, September 4th, 1:00pm to 3:00pm
Room: Mac Lab 203C (North Building)
Faculty and staff will see how blogs can be used to effectively support student engagement for use in both online and face-to-face classes, in community, portfolio, technical support or research sites. Faculty will be provided with an overview of the WordPress 3.8.3 features and navigation. Attendees must have a Blog previously setup to attend.

Advanced Moodle
Time: Friday, September 5th, 1:00pm to 3:00pm
Room: Mac Lab 203C (North Building)
This workshop is for faculty and staff who would like to use more of Moodle’s features. Topics include using the communication and student collaboration tools, adding rich media content, and mastering the Moodle Gradebook. Faculty must have a Moodle course previously setup to attend.
