Open Education Week, March 10-15

Print Friendly, PDF & Email

Open Education Week is taking place from March 10-15, 2014 online and in locally hosted events around the world. The purpose of Open Education Week is to raise awareness of the open education movement and opportunities it creates in teaching and learning worldwide. Participation in all events and use of all resources are free an open to everyone.

Take time to browse through the videos introducing you to open education projects.  Check out the FAQ to learn more about Open Educational Resources (OER), like how to use, create and share materials.  Explore the links on the Resources page.  Browse OER repositories or search for OER using browsers or custom search tools such as the OCW Consortium’s course searchMERLOT, and OER Commons.

Browse through the Events list to find events that interest you.  Use open educational resources to learn something new and share your discoveries with your friends and colleagues. Take a free and open course from The School of Open or learn about Locating, Licensing and Utilizing OERs. Check back with us on the Open Education Week homepage throughout the week to take part in various conversations on open education.
